A meeting with last year students of the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AUAC) was held at the Institute of Radiation Problems (RPI) of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) as part of the open days dedicated to "March 27 - Science Day".

The meeting was attended by corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Aminaga Sadigov, Head of the Practice and Career Department of Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AUAC) Khanlar Ganiyev, 4th year students and teachers of the University majoring in "Emergencies and Life Safety", as well as Heads of laboratories and departments of RPI.

In his introductory speech, Director General of the Institute, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Islam Mustafayev greeted the guests and students, as well as informed about the history and activities of the Institute of Radiation Problems, the conditions created for research and achievements.

Then the corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Aminaga Sadigov spoke about the establishment of "Science Day" and the importance of this day, as well as the promotion of scientific achievements, and gave recommendations to students who will become future scientists.

Speaking later, Khanlar Ganiyev, Head of the Practice and Career Department of AUAC, thanked the leadership of the Institute for the conditions created for students and the caring attitude during the internship. K. Ganiyev said that the future scientific development is on the shoulders of today's students.

Executive Director of RPI, Doctor of Philosophy in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor Ravan Mehdiyeva, as well as the heads of laboratories of the Institute - Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Rahim Madatov and Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor Muslim Gurbanov spoke about the conditions created for students at the National Academy of Sciences and gave recommendations to students on their further scientific activities.

Then, the teachers of the "Emergency and Life Safety" department of AUAC - Associate Professor Emil Gafarov and Associate Professor Ayten Ahmadova spoke about the importance of cooperation between the University and the RPI.

At the end of the meeting with the participation of guests and students there was a visual acquaintance with the devices and equipments in the laboratories of the Institute.
