A meeting with the winners of the "Scientists of Tomorrow" competition was held at the institute

A meeting with the winners of the XI Republican competition "Scientists of Tomorrow" was held at the Institute of Radiation Problems of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) as part of events dedicated to "Science Day".

The event, jointly organized by the Trade Union of RPI and the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists, was attended by students, scientists and the management of the Institute, who won the competition.

Speaking at the meeting, Director General of the Institute, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Islam Mustafayev greeted the winners of the competition and the scientists of the RPI, as well as other participants of the event. He then gave detailed information about the history and activities of the Institute, its achievements, international cooperation, human resources.

Congratulating the students, I.Mustafayev wished them success in their future educational and scientific activities, as well as gave his recommendations to the students.

Then the Executive Director of the Institute, Doctor of Philosophy in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor Ravan Mehdiyeva spoke about the material and technical base of the Institute and future prospects, as well as the importance of "Scientists of Tomorrow" and similar local and international competitions. She also praised the services of our scientists in this direction.

At the meeting, 10th grade students of the Young Talents Lyceum - Salman Vahabov and Farhad Karimbeyli's “New Generation Solar Converters” project (XI Republican competition "Scientists of Tomorrow" - II place), 9th grade student of the same lyceum Jamal Akhundov and 9th grade student of secondary school No. 247 Havva Gambarova (XI Republican competition "Scientists of Tomorrow" - II place), students of Baku European Lyceum - Ali Mammadzadeh and Nuray Karimli's “Smart Carbon Detector System"(7th Science Fair with the support of Azerbaijan British College - II place, Youth International / National Science Fair (YNSF / YISF) - III place), Ulvi Bayramov and Narmin Bayramova's “Metal Detector that detects mines in the area without human intervention and sends information to a distance” (7th Science Fair with the support of Azerbaijan British College - II place, Youth International / National Science Fair (YNSF / YISF) - III place) were presented.

The students then got acquainted with the research processes in the laboratories of the Institute, as well as devices and equipments.
