A scientific seminar on "Application of Radioisotope Dating Methods" was organized by the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Institute of Radiation Problems of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).

Then the junior researcher of the Institute Aybaniz Ahadova made a report on the subject. In her report, Ahadova first spoke about the activities of a special group "Dating of Archaeological Finds" established under the leadership of Sahib Mammadov, a leading researcher at the Institute of Radiation Problems. The presentation provided during the workshop provided general information on dating methods (Radiocarbon, Electronic Paramagnetic Resonance Method and Thermoluminescence Method) and research results.

During the report, the importance of conducting scientific research by our scientists on the monuments falsified and destroyed by the hated Armenian nationalists in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan in the current situation was stressed.

Ravan Mehdiyeva, Executive Director of the Institute, Doctor of Philosophy in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor, spoke at the event and voiced her views on the topic and she wished success to the participants, giving her advice on the organization of future scientific seminars.

The report was met with interest and many questions of the participants were answered at the end.

It should be noted that, along with ANAS, bachelor's and master's students of a number of educational institutions also participated in the scientific seminar attended by more than 70 participants.
