A meeting was held with the members of the teams prepared under the leadership of the scientists of the institute and who won in "Teknofest Azerbaijan"

At the Teknofest Azerbaijan Aerospace and Technology Festival, organized for the first time in our country, 2 projects led by the scientific staff of the Institute of Radiation Problems won the competition. In this regard, a meeting was held at the Institute with members of the winning teams.

Opening the meeting, Director General of the Institute, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Islam Mustafayev gave detailed information about the Teknofest Aerospace and Technology Festival, noting that the 5th festival is a symbol of Azerbaijani-Turkish brotherhood in Azerbaijan, on the Independence Day.

Ravan Mehdiyeva, Executive Director of the Institute, Doctor of Philosophy in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor, who participated in the discussions, said that cooperation with secondary schools and lyceums is of great importance in terms of the interaction of science and education and she also noted that the staff of the institute has been cooperating with Baku State University's Young Talents Lyceum, Baku European Lyceum, Modern Education Complex, Secondary School No. 30 for many years, and students have always achieved significant success in all competitions.

R.Mehdiyeva noted that the students achieved another success with their scientific projects prepared at the Institute of Radiation Problems. Scientific research, distinguished by scientific innovation, innovation, application opportunities and modernity, plays an important role in the proper formation of future scientific activities of the younger generation. The purpose of the cooperation is to deepen the knowledge gained by students during their secondary education, as well as to attract talented young people to scientific research at the master's and doctoral levels in the future by arousing interest in science.

These interdisciplinary projects are also aimed at uniting the efforts of scientists and educators, preserving the traditions of science and education, improving the skills of scientific and pedagogical staff in the field of mathematical modeling and information technology, attracting young people to science and education.

Afterwards, the winning teams presented the mentioned projects, extensive discussions were held with the scientists of the institute on the idea of projects, improvement of the facilities.

The event was first informed about the Vibro-Tactile Player device developed by the “Pitch Division” team of 9th grade students of Baku European Lyceum under the leadership of Namig Heydarov, an employee of the Innovative Research Group of the Institute of Radiation Problems. It was stated that the purpose of the project is to send music to people with hearing impairments with vibrations, to ensure that they also enjoy this music. It was noted that the device consists of two parts. The first part is placed on the back of the person, and the second part is placed on the neck in the form of a necklace equipped with 4 vibration motors. Initially, low-frequency vibrations equal to the human sound range are selected according to the given pieces of music, distributed to 4 vibration motors for better hearing of tones, and then the body is made in 3d format.

Then, under the leadership of Matanat Mehrabova, Doctor of Physical Sciences, Head of the Renewable Energy Transformation Laboratory of the Institute of Radiation Problems, a presentation was made on the Wind Turbine Plant of the Future, developed by the “GFutere” team of 11th grade students of the Modern Education Complex named after Heydar Aliyev and won the 3rd place in the Technofest Green Technologies A category nomination.

It was noted that the main purpose of this project is to protect the environment using alternative energy sources, the development of green energy. In order to use wind energy, which is an irreplaceable source of energy, a unique feather configuration has been selected for the vertical axis wind engine. Rectangular boards provide fast wind input and output. The stability of the wind turbine mounted on a floating balloon is ensured, as well as the use of water significantly reduces unnecessary friction, as well as increases efficiency by 20%. The installation of such system on the roofs of buildings in an urban environment eliminates the cost of transporting the energy needed for the building.
