A meeting was held with the representatives of the "Radiation and Chemical Laboratory of the Civil Defense Forces" of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of the Republic of Azerbaijan at the ANAS Institute of Radiation Problems.

The General Director of ANAS Institute of Radiation Problems, corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Islam Mustafayev, Head of the Laboratory of Energy-Intensive Radiation Processes, Candidate of Chemical Sciences Hokmen Mahmudov, candidate of physical sciences Famin Salmanov, Colonel Zakir Abdullayev, Chief of the Radiation and Chemical Laboratory of the Civil Defense Forces of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Senior Lieutenant Aygün Abbasova, Chief of the Bacteriology Department, Senior Lieutenant Tural Shahbazov, Chief of the Radiometry Department participated at the meeting.

General Director of the Institute, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Islam Mustafayev, greeted the guests and gave extensive information about the scientific research works, local and international projects conducted at the Institute.

At the meeting with the participation of the delegations of both institutions, a wide range of ideas were exchanged on the prospects for the development of effective cooperation in a bilateral format. The importance of signing a memorandum of cooperation was emphasized in order to develop mutually beneficial and long-term partnership relations at a higher level.
