A commemorative event dedicated to "March 31 - Genocide Day of Azerbaijanis" was held at the Institute of Radiation Problems

A commemorative event dedicated to "March 31 - Genocide Day of Azerbaijanis" was held at the Institute of Radiation Problems of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played at the event.

Later, the dear memory of the victims of the genocide and the children of the Motherland, who were martyred for the territorial integrity of our country, was commemorated with 1 (one) minute of silence.

The General Director of the Institute, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Islam Mustafayev, who made an opening speech at the commemoration event, gave brief information about the genocide, and also called on the youth to know our history well, to represent Azerbaijan based on educated and historical facts, and noted the importance of learning these truths and delivering it actively to the world community.

Then the Executive Director of the Institute, Doctor of Philosophy in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor Ravan Mehdiyeva gave information about the atrocities committed in the regions during the mentioned genocide process and the research conducted in the genocide cemetery located in Guba region.

In the end, the scientists of the Institute - Bakhtiyar Najafov, Fethullah Chichek, as well as the young scientist Lamiye Sadigli spoke and expressed their opinion about the genocide, as well as said that all scientists and specialists should actively participate in conveying the truth to a wider audience on a global scale.
