The Institute of Radiation Problems published its articles in a journal with a high impact factor

2 articles authored and co-authored by employees of the "Radioisotope Dating" group of the Institute of Radiation Problems of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan were published in a journal with an impact factor.
The articles "Comprehensive Investigation of Neolithic Ceramic Samples: Firing Technology and Age Insights" and "The Thermoluminescence Parameters of Irradiated K-Feldspar" authored and co-authored by senior researchers of the institute, associate professor Sahib Mammadov, and junior researcher Aybeniz Ahadova, were published in "East European Journal of Physics".
It should be noted that the relevant journal has been abstracted in the international databases "Clarivate Analytics" and "Web of Science".
Since the "Radioisotope Dating" group has been in operation for approximately 8 years, notable advancements in this area have been made. Thus, the grant project with the title "Determining the chronology of rock paintings from Gobustan by accurate periodization methods" was chosen as the winner in 2021. In addition, based on the outcomes of historically significant samples where radioisotope dating techniques were used, roughly 30 articles and theses were published in local and foreign journals. Additionally, the results were also presented at foreign conferences (20th International Conference in Norway, 3rd International Conference in Poland, etc.).
The institute determines the age of archaeological finds by dating them using three separate techniques (radiocarbon, electronic paramagnetic resonance, and thermoluminescence).
It should be mentioned that the institute has begun doing tritium analysis, and the initial findings have been published in regional journals.
