Czech scientists participated in the seminar held at the Institute of Radiation Problems

A seminar was held with the participation of Czech scientists at the Institute of Radiation Problems of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Nuclear Research Department of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency.

In the seminars where the new detector module for Magnetic Resonance Tomography/Positron Emission Tomography was discussed, it was brought to attention that some measurements were made, such as examining the shape of the signal received directly from the MAPD array with LaBr, NaI, LSO, and a plastic scintillator. These results will be used in the development of a new detector module for Magnetic Resonance Tomography/Positron Emission Tomography.

The group leader of the Institute of Radiation Problems and Doctor of Physics, Farid Ahmadov, Doctor of Physics, Ziraddin Sadigov, and Doctor of Physics, Gadir Ahmadov, the group leader of the Department of Nuclear Research and Doctor of in Physics, Azer Sadigov, and Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry Jalal Nagiyev, the group leader of the Institute of Experimental and Applied Physics Michael Holik, his students Patrik Kuchera and Martin Vítek, group leader of the West Bohemian University Ondrej Urban and group leader of the Bolu Abant Izzet Baysal University Professor Ercan Yılmaz, Professor Erhan Budak, their students - Ozan Yılmaz, Umutcan Gürer and Emre Doğancı were participated in the seminars. In these workshops, the main parts of the detector module were discussed, and their parameters were informed to be used in WP3 of the project.

It should be noted that this project is implemented under the HORIZON-MSCA-2021-SE Project and the "INNMEDSCAN" N10108617 Grant Agreement on Innovative Photodetector Module for Advanced Hybrid "Magnetic Resonance Tomography/Positron Emission Tomography" Scanners for Nuclear Medicine" and is supported by the European Commission.
