The next meeting of the Scientific Council was held at the Institute of Radiation Problems (RPI) of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, Professor Islam Mustafayev, the Director General of the Institute and a corresponding member of ANAS, addressed the participants and brought up the problems on the agenda. Then, on behalf of the Scientific Council, he congratulated Kimyakhanim Bakhishova, a young employee of the Institute, on receiving the 2023 Prezident’s Award for young people and wished her further success in her career. On behalf of the Scientific Council, he also congratulated A. Khaliqzadeh on receiving the Doctor of Philosophy degree.

The celebration of the jubilees of the leading scientific researcher in the "Radiation Physics of Polymers and Electroactive Materials" laboratory at the Institute, Associate Professor Musa Nuriyev, and the leading scientific researcher in the "Innovative Ionizing Radiation Detectors" laboratory, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics Ziraddin Sadigov, was the first topic of discussion at the event.

During the meeting of the Scientific Council, the action plan of the Ministry of Science and Education dedicated to the “Green World Solidarity Year" was discussed, and the topics of the Institute's monthly city-wide seminar were reviewed. The issues of partial revision in the dissertation topics of the institute's doctoral students and the certification of doctoral students were considered. At the end of the event, participants were informed about the "15th Tihany Symposium on Radiation Chemistry," and a number of current issues were deliberated about.
