The meeting was organized with the representatives of JICA-Japan International Cooperation Agency at the Institute.

The meeting was organized with the representatives of JICA-Japan International Cooperation Agency at the Institute of Radiation Problems Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Leadership and laboratory managers of RPI and Deputy Chief Representative of JICA Uzbekistan office, Mrs. Kazuko Takabanake, Program Coordinator of Uzbekistan Farhod Kurbanov, Program Coordinator of Azerbaijan Nigar Ismayilova and other guests attended the meeting.

Director of the Institute, correspondent member of ANAS, Professor Oktay Samedov welcomed the guests and informed about the meeting. O.Samedov noted the importance of our cooperation with international organizations in establishing such cooperation relations.

Then Dr. Alishgandar Salamov, Ph.D., Chief Engineer of Azalternativenergy Limited Liability Company, made a presentation on "Construction of a hybrid solar home system based on solar panels" and a mini-grants allocated by JICA to the solar panels and hybrid solar home information system. The young scientist pointed out that he participated in JICA trainings in 2016, titled "Renewable energy sources, especially solar panels in the network", at JICA center in Kitakyushi, Japan, and finally won a mini grants competition sponsored by JICA in 2019. The author noted that JICA has the right to submit projects in such mini-grant competitions only by those who has participated in the JICA training.

Later, the leading researcher of the Renewable Energy Sources Laboratory, PhD in Physics, Associate Professor Oktay Salamov gave vast information about the work that had been done in the Institute of Alternative Energy and its foundations, as well as collaborative scientific works with Alishgender Salamov since 2010, the articles which they published in scientific journals and the patents they received in the inventions. He highly appreciated JICA grants for the implementation of this project and thanked the guests.

Oktay Salamov noted that only solar panels were connected to the current stage and their energy supply was continuously supplied to such sources of energy, "Solar and wind-antibacterial systems", "Solar- wind-electrolysis facility, as well as a solar-wind power plant to produce a gas mixture from biomass and waste. O.Samedov actively participated in the realization of this grant project and familiarized himself with the participants of the event, thanked Abulfaz Maharramov, a student of Azerbaijan Technical University, who designed a small, high-precision measuring device for continuous measurement of solar radiation.

At the end of the event, Mrs. Kazuko Takabanake, Deputy Chief Representative of JICA's Uzbekistan office, thanked the RPI leadership for sincere reception and hospitality. Speaking about the activities of this organization and highly appreciating the project, the guest noted that JICA is interested in developing cooperation with our country.

At the end of the meeting, a joint review of solar panels and hybrid solar home system, which is installed in the main building of the RPI
