The next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Radiation Problems of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) was held.

Director of the Institute, Corresponding Member of ANAS, professor Ogtay Samadov pay agenda items to the attention of participants of the meeting. In the meeting the head of the Laboratory “Radiation Chemistry and Technology of Polymers”, Doctor of Chemical Sciences Mammadov Shiraz Majnun oglu’s 75th anniversary and The head of the Laboratory "Radiation Physics of Semiconductors", Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Madatov Rahim Salim oglu have been considered for the award in connection with the 70th anniversary.

Then the Institute’s senior researcher in the Radiation Chemistry of Heterogeneous Processes Doctor of Physics Malikova Sevinj Zeynalabdin gızı’s request for publication of the monograph that prepared by Malikova “The effect of gamma radiation on the physical chemical properties of borosilicates” was discussed.

Then the question of temporary rules of holding the competition for the post of the scientific worker of ANAS was considered. Bayramov Mohammad Allahverdi oglu who was announced as competition participant of Elm newspaper candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences was appointed as a senior researcher of laboratory “Radiation Chemistry of the Environment” and The secret ballot was held for contestant Suleymanov Telman Yadigar oglu announced in the ELM newspaper for the position of leading scientific worker in the Laboratory of Energy Radiation Processes. At the end of the meeting the articles that presented for publication were discussed.
