An educational seminar on the program "Horizon 2020" was held

Young scientists of the Institute of Radiation Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan participated in a seminar at the Institute of Oil and Gas of ANAS.

On the first day of the next three-day educational seminar on the European Commission's Horizon 2020 program, RPI junior researchers Aybaniz Ahadova and Rena Khankishiyeva presented a project.

It should be noted that the seminar was attended by representatives of scientific institutions and organizations of the Academy, representatives of other scientific and educational institutions of Azerbaijan, as well as state bodies, as well as scientists from Austria and Germany.

Martin Felix Gajdusek, project manager and researcher of the Austrian Center for Social Innovation and Matthias Vurch, a German Aerospace Center researcher, spoke about Horizon 2020.

It was emphasized that the project, with a budget of € 80 billion, aims to conduct research on industrialization of innovation and scientific research, healthy life and food security in the community, environmental protection, efficient use of energy and other natural resources.

Wurch give information about Horizon 2020: A Brief Overview of the Program Elements and the Next European Horizon, "Focusing on Specific Financial Lines: Discussing Specific Issues and Financial Terms of Special Interest," How to decode its contents? - presentations on "interactive group work" and answered questions from participants.

At the end of the seminar, participants were given certificates.
