The meeting of the Committee on Science and Education of the Milli Majlis
On March 16, the first meeting of the Committee on Science and Education of the Milli Majlis of the 6th convocation was held.
The meeting was opened by the chairman of the committee, corresponding member of ANAS Bakhtiyar Aliyev, who brought to the attention that seven issues were included in the agenda.
Initially, B. Aliyev commented on 4 bills included in the agenda of the meeting. It was noted that draft laws on introducing amendments to the laws “On Border Guards”, “On Education”, and “On Professional Education”, submitted for discussion in the first reading, amending the Law “On Science”, and amending the laws “On education ”and “ On licenses and permits ”, amendments to the laws “On science” and “On vocational education ” are mostly adaptive.
The bills considered were considered satisfactory from a conceptual point of view and recommended for discussion at the plenary meeting of the Milli Majlis.
In addition, a report was received on the activities of the Committee on Science and Education of the Milli Majlis of the V convocation at the autumn session of 2019. It was reported that during the reporting period, the committee held 7 meetings and considered 13 issues.
The report was found to be satisfactory. Meanwhile, the committee’s action plan for the spring 2020 session was unanimously approved.
