Within the framework of Technical Cooperation Programme, the Institute of Radiation Problems of ANAS and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) are implementing national project on the establishment of two laboratories – Dosimetry and Microbiological laboratories of Sterilization Purposed Strong Gamma Radiation Complex.

In 20-24 May, director of the Institute of Radiation Problems of ANAS, correspondent member of ANAS A.A.Garibov was invited to the head office of IAEA, Vienna for the purpose of selecting proper equipments for project implementation and organizing their effective operation. The IAEA experts of shown fields, director of the Institute of Radiation Problems and three young specialists of the institute respectively have participated at the discussions about goals and objectives of both laboratories, purchase of proper equipments. In the end, it was decided to send two IAEA colleagues to Romania, Poland and Turkey for a two month-training course, purchase of equipments valued at 350 thousand euro and give to IRP.
