The Institute of Radiation Problems of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) together with the Trade Union of the Institute held a holiday event on the occasion of December 31 - the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and the New Year.

In his introductory speech at the event, Chief Director of the Institute, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Islam Mustafayev said that traditionally, in 2021, our scientists have worked effectively and achieved significant achievements. In conclusion, the head of the institute congratulated all employees and wished them success in their future endeavors.

Ravan Mehdiyeva, Executive Director of the Institute, Doctor of Philosophy in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor, spoke about the Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis and the importance of this day for our compatriots, as well as praised the work of our scientists in promoting the Azerbaijani ideology and our country. At the end of her speech, Ravan Mehdiyeva noted that the Solidarity Day was a gift of national leader Heydar Aliyev to the Azerbaijanis of the world.

Speaking at the event, Amina Mikayilova, Chairman of the Trade Union of the RPI, Doctor of Philosophy in Physics, Associate Professor, said that both the leadership of the Institute and the Trade Union have always paid attention and care to our scientists and other employees of the Institute.

At the end of her speech, A.Mikayilova noted that various assistance was provided to more than 30 low-income employees of the Institute during the year, and said that a New Year party will be organized for employees on December 27.
