The main activities of the department are:
Acquiring and disseminating international information relevant to the scientific directions of the Institute; Establish relations with corresponding scientific centers and international organizations in foreign countries; Develop grant projects on scientific-research; Transferring Technology; Organize conferences, workshops, and trainings.

The main scientific results of the department are:
      Information on grant competitions announced by STCU, CRDF, FP7, SDF, etc. has been delivered to the employees of the institute, and the projects have been developed and sent. Articles, theses, and other materials from the institute's employees were translated. Information on conferences, workshops, and trainings has been obtained, processed, and delivered to the employees of the Institute. A number of international and republican conferences have been organized with the support of ANAS RPI.
      Information about IRP and TPFs on the basis of innovation technologies of the institute has been prepared and published in the Journals “Science Opportunities in Azerbaijan” and “Materials and Coatings for Extreme Environments” with the support of STCU and placed on international websites;
      Since 2013, the international journal of ANAS RPI has been published twice a year, an international index has been obtained, and it is distributed to the international scientific community.
