Head of the Laboratory is: Candidate in Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor Mahmudov Hokman Movajat oglu

Total number of employees: 13

The main activities of the laboratory are:
Hydrogen-power engineering; Radiation-photochemical transformation problems in energy-intensive processes;
1. Conversion of natural resources in homo and hetero systems by radiation and photochemical methods, methods of obtaining molecular hydrogen and increasing its yield.
2. Investigating ways of applying radiation and photochemical technologies in the direction of solving environmental problems.

The main scientific results of the Laboratory are:
1. The kinetics of deeper decomposition of water and hydrocarbons on the nano-sized catalyst surface in different mediums and at different absorbed dose rates were investigated, and the relevant mechanisms were determined. Depending on the physical-chemical properties of the absorbed primary substance, the critical values of the absorbed dose of ionizing rays have been determined.
2. Based on the application of photochemical technologies, the radiation and photochemical purification and conversion kinetics of gas mixture products were studied, and the appropriate mechanism was determined. Based on the received kinetic dependences, the process completion time, the degree of purification of the system depending on the intensity of the absorbed radiation, and other technical parameters were calculated.
