An event dedicated to the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was held at the Institute of Radiation Problems. At the event, the great leader's dear memory was commemorated with a minute of silence.

Then the General Director of the Institute, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Islam Mustafayev, who gave an introductory speech, talked about the life path of the eternal leader and his love for Azerbaijan, and the work done during the leadership of the country and informed about the ideology of Azerbaijanism, which was founded by Heydar Aliyev, and his contributions to the Azerbaijanis of the world.

Speaking about the Victory Day, I. Mustafayev said that the Great Leader's greatest wish was to restore our territorial integrity and liberate Karabakh from the enemy. Our ancient and eternal lands were liberated from Armenian occupation by the glorious Azerbaijani army in the 44-day Patriotic War under the leadership of his successor, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the President and the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of our Armed Forces, and we are proud of the Victory. This pride is the pride of the realization of the greatest dream of a genius.

Speaking later, the Executive Director of the Institute, Doctor of Philosophy in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor Ravan Mehdiyeva talked about the personal qualities of the National Leader and his commitment to our mental values as a true patriot, and spoke about the high value that he gave to the Azerbaijani language and also shared her views on the construction works covering all fields in our country, where the Great Leader was the architect, the historical significance of the New Azerbaijan Party and the "Contract of the Century".

At the end of the commemorative event, Nabi Aliyev, Doctor of Philosophy in Physics, Famil Khumbatov, Doctor of Philosophy in physics and mathematics, Associate Professor, Professor Rahim Madatov, Doctor of Physics-Mathematical Sciences and other scientists of the institute spoke and said that the contributions of the National Leader are on every page of the history of independent and sovereign Azerbaijan, at every step of the development path of our country and they also pointed out that every Azerbaijani has a deep love and respect for the eternal leader in their heart.
