      On December 07, 2015 the next meeting of Academic Council of the Institute of Radiation Problems was held. A minute of silence in memory of the dead and missing people on the 10th platform of the Guneshli oil rig of SOCAR was observed at the meeting.
      The next meeting of Academic Council was devoted to a wide discussion of the priorities proposed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev at the general meeting marking 70th anniversary of ANAS held on November 09, 2015, on the Institute’s scientific direction. The proposals put forward on each direction were discussed and based on them decision was made.
      Later, senior research worker of the Institute of Management Systems, Elkhan Sabziyev’s presentation on “HORIZON-2020” program of the European Union was attended. He spoke about the importance of «HORİZON-2020" and about the possibility of participation of Azerbaijani scientists in this program, gave information about the rules of the preparation of projects. E. Sabziyev noted that, energy, mathematically modeling, fields related to environment are the issues included in the number of social priorities of the European Union for the period 2014-2020 years and abovementioned directions have been identified as the basis for the scientific, technological and innovative cooperation.
