Released new edition of “Elm” newspaper
A new edition of the newspaper “Elm”, which is the press organ of the Presidium of ANAS, was published.
The decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On approval of the new composition of the Commission on State Prizes of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the field of science, technology, architecture, culture and literature” and the Order “On Celebrating the 150th anniversary of Nariman Narimanov” were placed on the first page of the newspaper.
On the next pages of the newspaper: the first conference of the ANAS territorial organization of the New Azerbaijan Party, the composition of the Board of the territorial organization, a meeting with the chairman of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan at the Academy, the next meeting of the ANAS Presidium, the international conference "Study of the literary and scientific heritage of Alisher Navoi", opening Center for Literary Studies Alisher Navoi in ANAS, election of an Uzbek scientist honorary doctor of the Institute of Literature, General Meeting of Biological and Medical sciences, as well as Physical-Mathematical and Technical Sciences, were posted.
In addition, the newspaper’s pages reflected materials on commemorative ceremonies dedicated to the 28th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide in scientific institutions and organizations, departments and regional centers of ANAS, a meeting of the commission on entrance examinations for doctoral studies, an international session dedicated to the International Mother Language Day, the report of the Joint Trade Union Committee, the study of corresponding member Tarlan Mammadov on coronavirus in Turkey, as well as the event “Mugham, carpet weaving and felt art in the base of National Digital Memory. "
The following materials are presented to readers for attention on pages 8–9: the visit of representatives of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources to the Institute of Geography, the participation of Academician Shahin Mustafayev and PhD in History Farda Asadov in an international conference in Switzerland, the results of projects prepared for the IX Republican Contest “Future scientists”, under the leadership of ANAS scientists, meeting of the Presidium of the Nakhchivan Division, granting patents by the Sheki Regional Scientific Center as creators of breeds and hybrids of silkworm, etc.
The new issue also published articles such as “The Founder of Numismatic Science,” “Outstanding Scientist in the Field of Space Plasma Physics,” “The First Woman Mathematician in Azerbaijan,” an interview with academician Arif Hashimov and Professor Adil Aliyev.
A 20-page newspaper also contains interesting articles in Russian.
