The NAP Territorial Party Organization and the Institute's Women's Council organized a celebration honoring academician Zarifa Aliyeva's 101st birthday at the Institute of Radiation Problems of the Ministry of Science and Education. The general director of the institute, Professor I. Mustafayev, introduced the event participants to the important periods of the life and scientific activity of prominent scientist and social and political figure Zarifa Aliyeva and analyzed the ideas of the academician from the perspective of the challenges of the modern world.

The chairman of the NAP Territorial Party Group, the executive director of the institute, associate professor R. Mehdiyeva, spoke about academician Zarifa Aliyeva, who was a symbol of high spirituality and the first female laureate of the Averbakh award, the highest award in the field of medical sciences, as a talented scientist, a skilled science organizer, a wise wife, a caring mother, a hard-working, noble, and elegant woman, and spoke about the memories of her fellow students, colleagues, and people who knew her. She gave the attendees an overview of the world of an Azerbaijani woman, introducing them to three notable figures: her father, Aziz Aliyev, her husband, Heydar Aliyev, and her son, Ilham Aliyev.

One of the participants of the event, Shiraz Mammadov, a doctor of chemical sciences, expressed his thoughts about Ms. Zarifa as a kind doctor.
