Employees of the Institute of Radiation Problems participated in the International Forum

General Director of the Institute of Radiation Problems of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Islam Mustafayev, Doctor of Philosophy in Physics, leading researcher of the Institute's Laboratory No. 11 "Radiation Chemistry of Heterogeneous Processes," Associate Professor Gunel Imanova, and a junior researcher at the Institute's Laboratory No. 10 "Environmental Radiation Chemistry," Seljan Hajiyeva, participated in the International Forum "THE THIRD INTERNATIONAL FORUM "PHYSICS - 2024" held in Samarkand province of Uzbekistan.

In addition to giving a thorough presentation on "Prospects of Using Nuclear Energy in Low-Carbon Petrochemical Processes" at the International Forum, which was attended by 200 participants from 30 countries, Professor Islam Mustafayev, a member of the organizing committee, also provided the attendees with specific information about the research being done in this area in Azerbaijan. I. Mustafayev also moderated one of the scientific sessions of the International Forum.

At the International Forum, the leading researcher of the Institute's Laboratory No. 11 "Radiation Chemistry of Heterogeneous Processes" and Doctor of Philosophy in Physics, Associate Professor Gunel Imanova, presented the topic "Kinetics of Radiation-Heterogeneous Processes of Water in the Presence of n-ZrO2 and n-TiO2 Nanoparticles," and, a junior researcher of the Institute's Laboratory No. 11 "Environmental Radiation Chemistry," Seljan Hajiyeva, gave a report on the topic "Effect of Gamma Radiation on Surface Morphology of GaSe Layered Monocrystal.".

It should be mentioned that prospective collaboration relationships with scientists from various nations were explored within the framework of the International Forum, along with a wide exchange of ideas regarding current research.
