An event dedicated to March 1 - World Civil Defense Day was held at the Institute of Radiation Problems of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).

In his introductory speech at the event, Director General of the Institute, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Islam Mustafayev first informed about the history and significance of March 1 - World Civil Defense Day. In his speech, Islam Mustafayev also praised the services of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan in civil protection and management of the population, prevention and elimination of the consequences of emergencies, as well as the organization of awareness-raising activities on emergencies.

Then, the head of the Civil Defense Staff of the Institute Taleh Mammadov spoke about the Action Plan for 2022.

The event participants were informed about the features of personal protective equipment and the rules of their use, which were demonstrated at the exhibition organized in the lobby of the Institute, and their questions were answered.
