An event dedicated to Azerbaijan Youth Day was held at the Institute of Radiation Problems (RPI) of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan under the organization of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists and with the support of the Trade Union Organization of the Institute.

At the event, the dear memory of our martyrs, who died for the territorial integrity of the Motherland, was commemorated with respect and reverence.

Then the General Director of the Institute, corresponding member of ANAS, professor Islam Mustafayev, who made an opening speech, congratulated the young scientists and specialists on the occasion of "February 2 - Azerbaijan Youth Day" and wished them success in their future scientific and social activities. I. Mustafayev said that the youth policy, which is one of the fundamental directions in our country, was being successfully continued today, and our state had full confidence in the youth in all areas of scientific and social activity. Highly appreciating the role of young people in the development of our country, I. Mustafayev emphasized once again the importance of the responsibilities of patriotic youth in these difficult and responsible stages and noted that he will always support them on this path.

The Executive Director of the Institute, Doctor of Philosophy in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor Ravan Mehdiyeva spoke at the event and congratulated the young people. R. Mehdiyeva also said that the historical decisions, decrees and orders of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, which would be an example to the whole world for the successful implementation of the state policy in the field of youth, had an extremely positive effect on the formation of the young generation as an organized power, their full moral-ideological maturity, the solution of their social problems and the provision of beneficial employment.

R. Mehdiyeva, who stated that the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, confirmed the Great Leader's commitment to the youth policy with his decisions, and she emphasized that the work done in the direction of moral development and patriotic education of young people, promotion of education abroad and scientific-social activities, as well as the formation and development of youth organizations were the logical results of great attention and care in this field.

Later, Ali Mammadov, chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Experts of the Institute, and Lamiya Sadigli, a doctoral student of the Institute, congratulated the young people. The speakers said that they would always work with great effort to fully justify the trust in the youth of Azerbaijan and noted that the attention and care given to young employees were the biggest incentive.

At the end of the event, young employees of the Institute of Radiation Problems - Ali Mammadov, Gulchin Mahmudlu, Elnur Mehtiyev, Sona Mammadli, Husniyya Necati Solut and Naibe Javadzadeh were awarded with an Honorary Order by the Institute for their scientific and social activities in 2022.
