The Institute of Radiation Problems hosted a seminar on "Sensor technologies"

Professor Ercan Ylmaz from Turkey's Bolu Abant Izzet Baysal University gave a session on "sensor technologies" at the Institute of Radiation Problems of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Researchers from the Institute of Radiation Problems, the Institute of Physics, and Bolu Abant Izzet Baysal University took part in a seminar that was held as part of the Innovative Photodetector Module for Advanced Hybrid “Magnetic Resonance Imaging/Positron Emission Tomography” Scanners for Nuclear Medicine (Grant Number No. 101086178) within the EU Horizon 2021 MSCA Staff Exchanges program HORIZON-MSCA-2021-SE-01, funded by the European Commission.

Professor Ercan Yilmaz provided in-depth information in the aforementioned seminar about semiconductor sensor manufacturing technologies, current issues, and application areas.

Future directions for cooperation were extensively discussed at the seminar's conclusion.

Professor Ercan Yilmaz worked on the development and application of semiconductor devices in the years 2004–2005 at the Henri Becquerel laboratory in France, 2010–2011 at the University of California in USA, and 2012–2013 at the Tyndall National Institute in Ireland, in addition to leading and taking part in more than 50 local and foreign grants.
