       Head of the department of the Institute of Radiation Problems, PhD in physics, associate professor Matanat Mehrabova visited Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara, Turkey in 08-17.09.2014. She was in the departments of “Metallurgy and Material engineering” and “Physics”. M. Mehrabova got acquainted with the devices and with important and innovative works carried out in the laboratory equipped with devices purchased due to the large-scale projects of the Europe and Turkey. The laboratory is headed by academician of Islamic World Academy of Sciences, Dr. in physics-mathematics, professor Amdulla Mekhrabov who is the laboratory head in the “Metallurgy and Material engineering” department and with whom she held scientific discussions. M.Mehrabova also held discussions with Dr. in physics-mathematics, professor Tahmasib Aliyev, Dr. physics-mathematics, professor and prof. Nizami Hasanli and Dr., professor Rashid Turan in the department of Physics and got acquainted with the carried out works. In the end it has been determined joint cooperation possibilities between METU and ANAS IRP.
