In addition, ANAS holds joint fulfillments with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population for more effective organization of social protection of the populationç acadş I. Finally, Isa Habibbayli brought to mind that the results of the study were published in book form.

Later, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor Parviz Hasanov delivered a lecture on "Quality of life in Azerbaijan - 2018: rating of economic regions, republican subordinate cities and administrative regions." The lecture presents the results of a comprehensive study carried out at the Institute of Economics of ANAS in order to compare the quality of life in economic regions, subordinate cities and administrative regions of Azerbaijan.

It was noted that the assessments were based on the Quality of Life Index (HKI) prepared by the Institute's experts. The study covers eight economic regions of the country, 61 republican subordinate cities and administrative regions.

According to Parviz Hasanov, the quality of life of economic regions of Azerbaijan, cities of republican subordination and administrative cities are grouped into 7 sub-indexes and compiled on the basis of 36 indicators. These sub-indexes include material welfare, health, education, security, family strength, ecology, and leisure time.

According to the analyst, the region with the highest quality of life in Azerbaijan is Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Nakhchivan by most sub-indices is ranked first in the city and region rankings. The other six regions of the Autonomous Republic (Ordubad, Sadarak, Babek, Sharur, Shahbuz and Kangarli) are in 2-7th places. The sub-indexes of Sadarak region, which is in the third place, are relatively low.

“As for the economic regions of the country, Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic also ranks first in their quality of life. Lankaran region shares 1-2 places with the economic district of Daglig Shirvan according to the Family Strength Index.” - Hasanov said.

This type of inter-regional comparative research is of great practical importance not only in assisting to solve important scientific issues. The scientist said that their results would be useful in making decisions on the socio-economic development of the regions, in the development of socio-economic programs, and in the provision of additional government funds to the regions.
