A meeting has been held with university students who will get industrial experience at the Institute of Radiation Problems

A meeting has been held with university students who will get industrial experience based on mutual cooperation with higher education institutions at the Institute of Radiation Problems (RPI) of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Speaking at the meeting, the General Director of RPI, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Islam Mustafayev, greeted the students and also informed about the history of the Institute, scientific research directions, achievements and personnel potential.

In his speech, I. Mustafayev also touched on the interaction between science and education and talked about the traditionally organized Republican competition called "Scientists of Tomorrow" and its importance. At the same time, he said that the scientists of the Institute actively participated in this year's competition and 4 projects developed under their leadership were the winners.

Then, I. Mustafayev introduced to the students the youngest doctors of sciences of the Institute, the doctor of physical sciences, associate professor Famin Salmanov, Farid Ahmadov and Elchin Huseynov, as well as the Institute employees - Namig Heydarov, Ibrahim Nuriyev and Maqsud Nazarov who won the "TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan" Aviation, Space and Technology Festival organized for the first time in our country last year and said that they are an example for young people.

The executive director of RPI, PhD in physics and mathematics, associate professor Ravan Mehdiyeva, who spoke later at the meeting, informed about the multidisciplinary research conducted at the Institute, as well as called on students to actively participate in this industrial experience.

In the end, speaking on behalf of the group heads of the universities, the head of the department at Baku State University, doctor of chemical sciences, professor Rasim Alosmanov thanked the Institute management for the warm hospitality and the chances created for the students.

It should be noted that IV year students of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University will do scientific research and get industrial experience at the Institute of Radiation Problems from February 16 to May 24, IV year students of the Chemical Engineering faculty of Baku State University from February 16 to May 25, the last year students of Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction from February 16 to March 15, and master's degree students from February 16 to March 15.
