The "Open Door" day dedicated to the "Day of Science" was held on March 27, under the organization of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Institute of Radiation Problems (RPI) of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

On this occasion, a meeting was organized with the participation of teachers and students of secondary school No. 193 located in Baku.

The General Director of the Institute, corresponding member of ANAS, professor Islam Mustafayev, who spoke at the meeting, welcomed the guests and also informed them about radiation science in Azerbaijan and in the world and the history of the Institute.

I. Mustafayev, who invited students who were scientists of the future to science and constantly urged them to study science and expressed that the scientists of the institute would also be active and enthusiastic in the process of teaching scientific knowledge.

Then the Executive Director of the Institute, Doctor of Philosophy in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor Ravan Mehdiyeva informed the students about the scientific research directions of the Institute of Radiation Problems and the obtained results, innovations and international cooperation relations.

At the meeting, Rakhshana Mamishova, a young scientist of the Institute, Doctor of Philosophy in Physics, gave a speech entitled "Basics of radiation safety".

In the end, the teaching staff and students got to know the scientific research laboratories of the Institute and their work process, as well as many questions of the students were answered by the scientists.
