The next scientific seminar was held at the Institute of Radiation Problems of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

"Study of the genesis and metamorphism of oil with the presence of bentonite under the influence of gamma rays" was the subject of the seminar talk given by Ismayilova Mehpare, an Institute doctorate student.

The lecturer informed seminar attendees about the current research on the role of radioactive radiation in the genesis and metamorphism of oil and put forward her opinions about the structure and properties of oils produced in different countries around the world, as well as the effect of radioactive radiation on these properties. The lecturer was questioned extensively by the seminar attendees, and there was a lengthy discussion on the subject.
