The group of "Historical Archeological Findings" has received new results

The group of "Historical Archeological Findings" that led a leading researcher, docent Sahib Mammodov at the Institute of Radiation Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan has received new results.

Thus, the young researcher of the group, junior researcher Aybaniz Ahadova, used the methods of Electronic Paramagnetic Resonance and Thermoluminescence to appoint the age of archaeological finds of the Neolithic period. During her research, she discovered a dental specimen from the ancient settlement of Galayeri in Gabala that belong to b.c. 3514, a sample taken from Hasansu monument in Agstafa district that belong to b.c. 6432, and the dental and ceramic samples taken from the Amirli monument No. 3 in the Barda district that belong to b.c. 5937 and the year b.c. 6189 has proved.

The results of the Galayeri and Hasansu monuments, obtained in the special laboratory of the Institute of Radiation Problems, were taken attention at the next meeting of the ANAS Presidium, which was attended by RPI director, corresponding member of ANAS Professor Ogtay Samadov. At the meeting on "Archeological Researches in Azerbaijan: Achievements and Prospects", the results of the report of Najaf Museyibli, Deputy Director of Science at the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of ANAS, were welcomed by the Presidium. The results of Amirli's monuments are reflected in the report of Khagani Almammadov, an employee of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of ANAS, a doctor of philosophy in history. It should be noted that the archeological findings at the Institute of Radiation Problems are conducted in 3 different ways (radiocarbon, electron paramagnetic resonance and thermoluminescence methods) and the age of the findings is determined.
