Meeting was held with German expert at the Institute of Radiation Problems of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).

Director of the RPI, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Ogtay Samadov welcomed the guest and informed about the history, activities and achievements of the Institute, as well as international cooperation.

Then Stefan Schweetske, an expert of the United Nations (UN) International Environmental Protection Fund, spoke to meeting participants about the UN Environment Program on the determination of methane emissions affects to atmosphere. Speaking within the framework of conference of oil-producing countries such as Canada, Norway, Romania and previous studies before Azerbaijan in the United States and other countries S. Schweetske spoke about the goals and objectives of the research, the expected results, and the methods that are used. He also invited the scientists of the Institute to cooperate on the results of the meetings that was held at the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.
