A commemorative event on the 28th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide was held at the Institute
An event that devoted to the 28th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide was held at the Institute of Radiation Problems of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).The victims of the Khojaly genocide were remembered with a moment of silence at the event.
Then the director of the Institute, corresponding member of ANAS Professor Prof. Ogtay Samadov said that Khojaly genocide is one of the most horrible and tragic pages in the history of Azerbaijan. He also spoke about the political assessment of the genocide in the worldwide estimation.
Later, the Deputy Director of the Institute, PhD in Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor Ravan Mehdiyeva said that the Khojaly tragedy is a page of the policy of ethnic cleansing and genocide of the Armenian aggressors against the Azerbaijani people.
At the end of the memorable event, a film about the Khojaly genocide “Endless Corridor” by the Lithuanian military journalist Richard Lapaitis was shown.
