An event entitled "Our Independence is eternal, irreversible!" was held at the Institute

An event entitled “Our independence is eternal, irreversible!" dedicated to October 18 - "Independence Day" was held at the Institute of Radiation Problems of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).

First, the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was sounded at the event.

Speaking at the event, Director General of IRP, corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Islam Mustafayev and Executive Director of the Institute, Doctor of Philosophy in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor Ravan Mehdiyeva spoke about Azerbaijan's Independence Day and Day of Restoration of Independence, as well as the services of the great leader Heydar Aliyev in restoration and strengthening of state independence.

It was noted that on October 15 this year, the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan approved a new law "On Independence Day" on the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev, and according to the law, May 28 was declared Independence Day and October 18 was declared Day of Restoration of Independence.

Then, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor of Azerbaijan Medical University Fakhraddin Mammadov spoke about the history of Azerbaijan's statehood, the chronicle of our independence, the Patriotic War and Victory Day, as well as the current construction work in our liberated lands.

The speech was met with great interest by the participants of the event.

At the end of the event, a video dedicated to the "Day of Restoration of Independence" was shown.
