Abbasova Cicek Yurik gizi, an employee of the "Innovative Ionizing Beam Receivers" laboratory of the Institute of Radiation Problems of ANAS, participated in the Summer School on "Basic Science and Requirement of Academic Life" organized by the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TAS) on September 26-30, 2022. Researchers in various fields of science (physics, chemistry, medicine, mathematics, etc.) from countries such as Turkey, Azerbaijan, Albania, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Algeria, Pakistan, Moldova participated in the summer school. The aim of the summer school was to provide participants with information about various natural sciences, mainly fundamental sciences and the demands of academic life.

The article prepared with the participation of the employees of the "Ionizing Beam Recorders" laboratory of the Institute of Radiation Problems of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) was published in the Nature Scientific Reports magazine with a high impact factor.

An event dedicated to "September 27 - Memorial Day" was held at the Institute of Radiation Problems of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).

At the event, first, the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played, later the dear memory of the martyrs of the Patriotic War was commemorated with a minute's silence.

Speaking at the commemorative event, the Executive Director of the Institute of Radiation Problems, Doctor of Philosophy in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor Ravan Mehdiyeva spoke about the 44-day Patriotic War and the heroic deeds of the mighty Azerbaijani army and said that she was proud of the bravery of our soldiers and officers.

A meeting was held with the first and second year graduate students at the Institute of Radiation Problems (RPI) of ANAS.

Speaking at the meeting, Director General of the Institute, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Islam Mustafayev, executive director of RPI, doctor of philosophy in physics, associate professor Ravan Mehdiyeva, head of the Institute's Education Department, Doctor of Philosophy in Physics, Associate Professor Amina Mikayilova, heads of graduate students and other speakers drew attention to the statistical data for the 2022-2023 academic year and the importance of this level of education, at the same time, they congratulated the young people on the occasion of the beginning of the new academic year.

The next meeting of the Scientific Council was held at the Institute of Radiation Problems (RPI) of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).

At the meeting, the dear souls of our martyrs who died for the territorial integrity of our Motherland were remembered with a minute of silence.

Speaking at the meeting, the Director General of the Institute, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Islam Mustafayev brought the issues on the agenda to the attention of the meeting participants.

At the event, first of all, the preparation of annual reports for the Institute and issues of labor discipline and monitoring carried out in our liberated territories, Kalbajar zone, were considered.

The entrance exam for doctoral studies was held at the Institute of Radiation Problems of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS). Speaking at the exam, Director General of the Institute, corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Islam Mustafayev, gave information about the exams and wished success to the participants.

It should be noted that today's exams were held in the subjects of "General physics course" and "Ecology".

Young scientists of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) participated in the Youth Innovation Camp organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Council of Young Scientists and Experts of ANAS.

Young scientists of the Institute of Radiation Problems - Namig Heydarov and Ibrahim Nuruyev spoke at the visual-practical trainings organized in the Kura Olympic Sports Training Center located in the city of Mingachevir and held in various directions as part of the camp attended by young scientists and specialists, students of various higher educational institutions.

On August 6-11, 2022, a summer camp for young scientists was held at the Lankaran Olympic Sports Complex under the organization of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of ANAS.

According to the program of the camp, on August 10, the participants listened to the lectures of Islam Mustafayev, correspondent member of ANAS, director general of the Institute of Radiation Problems, on "Ecology and ecological problems of the environment".

As a continuation of the radioecological studies conducted by the Institute of Radiation Problems in the territories liberated from occupation, an expedition was organized to study the quality characteristics of water resources in the Istisu area of Kalbajar district.

Employees of ANAS High Technology Park (HTP) and Institute of Radiation Problems visited this country in order to study the experience of Turkish technology parks, discuss bilateral and multilateral cooperation, as well as the possibilities of implementing joint programs and projects. On this visit, the Institute of Radiation Problems of ANAS was represented by leading engineer Namig Heydarov.

A meeting was held with the representatives of the "Radiation and Chemical Laboratory of the Civil Defense Forces" of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of the Republic of Azerbaijan at the ANAS Institute of Radiation Problems.

The General Director of ANAS Institute of Radiation Problems, corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Islam Mustafayev, Head of the Laboratory of Energy-Intensive Radiation Processes, Candidate of Chemical Sciences Hokmen Mahmudov, candidate of physical sciences Famin Salmanov, Colonel Zakir Abdullayev, Chief of the Radiation and Chemical Laboratory of the Civil Defense Forces of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Senior Lieutenant Aygün Abbasova, Chief of the Bacteriology Department, Senior Lieutenant Tural Shahbazov, Chief of the Radiometry Department participated at the meeting.

Abbasova Yurik Cicek , an employee of the Laboratory of Innovative Ionizing Beam Receivers of the ANAS Institute of Radiation Problems, participated in the training course on” Radioactive tracers and Gamma Scanning certification” organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency and the French Atomic Energy Commission on June 27, 2022 in Saclay, France. The purpose of the event was to teach the participants the basic knowledge and practical experience of radio tracer and gamma scanning methods applied to technological devices in order to obtain a Certificate in Radioactive tracer methodology (RTM/RTD) and Sealed Source Methods - Gamma Scanning Techniques (SSM/SCT).

The next meeting of the Scientific Council was held at the Institute of Radiation Problems of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).

At the meeting, first of all, the issue of attestation of the graduate students of the Institute was considered, and they were attested and passed on to the next year. Later, the Council members were informed about the two International Conferences to be held by Sumgayit State University and Sheki Regional Center of ANAS.
