The summer exam session held for the 2021/2022 academic year at the Institute of Radiation Problems of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) has ended. Thus, on the last day of the session, the first-year graduate students of the Institute, majoring in "Radiation Materials Science", successfully passed the "Fundamentals of Dosimetry" exam.

It should be noted that during the mentioned session, the master students participated in 7 (seven) exams in total.

The next meeting of the Scientific Council was held at the Institute of Radiation Problems of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).

The General Director of the Institute, corresponding member of ANAS, professor Islam Mustafayev, who opened the meeting with an introductory speech, brought the issues on the agenda to the attention of the event participants.

At the meeting, a certificate issued by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Free Trade Union of Azerbaijan Education Workers was presented to Matanat Mehrabova, the head of the Laboratory of Renewable Energy Conversions of the Institute, Doctor of Physics, Associate Professor for leading the scientific projects of the students who achieved success in the 11th Republic Competition "Scientists of Tomorrow", also a certificate issued by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and TEKNOFEST, as well as a letter of appreciation issued by Virtual Azerbaijan and Vision TV, for the participation of the “gFuture” team of students led by her in the final stage of the “Green technologies” competition of the Teknofest Aerospace and Technology Festival were presented.

An emergency meeting was held in connection with the fire in the second building of the Institute of Radiation Problems of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).

The Director General of the Institute, corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Islam Mustafayev was informed about the incident at the meeting. It was noted that the State Fire Service was immediately informed about the fire in the administrative building of the II building of the Institute, and 3 fire engines and employees of the relevant agency were involved in the incident. Then, taking into account that there was no serious danger due to the fire, two fire engines returned, and one fire brigade inspected the area to investigate the possible dangers.

At the Teknofest Azerbaijan Aerospace and Technology Festival, organized for the first time in our country, 2 projects led by the scientific staff of the Institute of Radiation Problems won the competition. In this regard, a meeting was held at the Institute with members of the winning teams.

Opening the meeting, Director General of the Institute, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Islam Mustafayev gave detailed information about the Teknofest Aerospace and Technology Festival, noting that the 5th festival is a symbol of Azerbaijani-Turkish brotherhood in Azerbaijan, on the Independence Day.

The Institute of Radiation Problems of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) held a preliminary discussion of the master's dissertation.

The dissertation work of the master - Mammadova Ayten Shahlar on the specialty "Radiation materials science" on "Effect of gamma radiation on the electrical properties of PETF/CdS nanocomposites based on porous polyethylene terephthalate" was discussed.

An event dedicated to "May 28 - Independence Day" was held at the Institute of Radiation Problems (RPI) of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS). First, the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was sounded at the event, and then a minute of silence was observed in memory of the martyrs who died for the territorial integrity of our homeland.

In his introductory speech at the event, Director General of the Institute, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Islam Mustafayev informed the participants about the history and significance of May 28 - Independence Day.

The Institute of Radiation Problems of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) hosted a scientific seminar on "Electrophysical properties of metal oxides and polymer composites modified by y-radiation" and "EPR dosimetry".

Speaking at the seminar, senior researcher of the Laboratory of Radiation Physics of Polymer and Electroactive Materials, Doctor of Philosophy in Physics Nabi Aliyev and Senior Researcher of the Laboratory of Radiation Chemistry of the Environment, Doctor of Philosophy in Physics Mahammad Bayramov gave detailed information to the participants about the topic and answered their questions.

A scientific seminar on "Spectroscopic research methods" was organized by the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Institute of Radiation Problems of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS). Along with the participants from other institutes of ANAS, bachelors, masters and doctoral students from a number of higher education institutions also took part in the event.

In his introductory speech at the seminar, the head of the laboratory of the Institute, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor Muslim Gurbanov greeted the participants and voiced his views on the topic.

Then, scientists of the Institute - Famil Humbatov and Yadigar Jafarov were congratulated on their election as members of the Academy of Eco-Energy.

The Yasamal District Executive Power and the Yasamal District Organization of the New Azerbaijan Party jointly organized a conference entitled "The Great Return: National Leader Heydar Aliyev's Dreams Come True” dedicated to the 99th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev. The conference was attended by Member of the YAP Board, rector of the Baku Higher Oil School Elmar Gasimov, Head of Yasamal District Executive Power Elshad Hasanov, The party's gold fund, one of the 91 Shahlar Asgarov, chairmen of territorial party organizations and public representatives.

An event dedicated to the 99th anniversary of the founder of our modern statehood, great leader Heydar Aliyev was held at the Institute of Radiation Problems of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).

First of all, the memory of the national leader and our martyrs who died for the freedom of our lands was commemorated with deep respect.

In his introductory speech, Director General of the Institute, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Islam Mustafayev spoke about the exceptional services of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the development of Azerbaijan's economy, science, education and culture, covering the first period of his leadership in Azerbaijan.

A scientific seminar on "Application of Radioisotope Dating Methods" was organized by the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Institute of Radiation Problems of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).

Then the junior researcher of the Institute Aybaniz Ahadova made a report on the subject. In her report, Ahadova first spoke about the activities of a special group "Dating of Archaeological Finds" established under the leadership of Sahib Mammadov, a leading researcher at the Institute of Radiation Problems.

Aybaniz Ahadova, a junior researcher at the Institute of Radiation Problems of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), an employee of the Radioisotope Dating Laboratory, took part in the Ictimai Radio's "Jan Azerbaijan" program.

Participating in the program together with the researcher of the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan of ANAS Aslan Gasimov, A.Ahadova informed about the grant project "Determination of the chronology of Gobustan rock paintings by exact chronology".
